David Bowers has over 20 years of experience in quantitative analysis and project finance. He is known for his attention to economic and technical details, and a data-driven, analytical approach to project structuring and negotiations.
He was previously investment officer at Africa Finance Corporation, based in Lagos, Nigeria where he led teams in executing investments in the petrochemical, refining, power and transport sectors. Prior to that he was a financial advisor at Greengate LLC, a financial advisory firm that advises on some of the largest project finance deals in the world with first of a kind risk. As a financial advisor and investment officer he has closed transactions with an aggregate value of tens of billions of dollars.
Mr. Bowers holds an MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies, where he studied finance and international development. Prior to that, Mr. Bowers was a software engineer and enjoys bringing data-driven rigor to financial structuring.
